As the year closes, I find myself returning to the same thought I return to every December: it's the people.
Not the transactions. Not the numbers. Not the market reports or the strategy sessions or the deals that almost didn't happen.
The people.
The client who called me six months after closing just to say thank you. The agent in Texas I'd never met in person who sent a handwritten note after I referred a mutual client her way. The colleague who picked up the phone at 9pm when I needed to talk through a difficult situation.
This is what I've built over 30 years — not a database, not a portfolio, but a community. And communities are held together by gratitude, consistency, and the simple act of showing up for each other.
